Rest & Rejuvenate: Restorative Yoga Special
Join Kate for a special Restorative yoga class to down-regulate your nervous system, recover your adrenals and exhale March is over.
This class is 2hrs long because it really does take time to totally let go, and allow the nervous system to rest before it can restore.
This class is suitable for all level students and if you are thinking 2hrs is too long and you won't be able to do yoga for that long, you will be amazed how quickly it goes.
What is restorative yoga? Restorative yoga is a style of yoga practice that focuses on gentle shapes and easeful poses and aims to help us rest and de-stress. We will be holding for around five to ten minutes in each pose, to give our bodies time to settle down and relax into the shapes we are making. In restorative poses, you might not feel a stretch like you would in another style of yoga class, but you will probably feel grounded and relaxed, and space will be created in your body.
In the current day and age, things are definitely stressful for all of us, and this is an opportunity to slow down, press pause, and let go of some of our burdens for a couple of hours. By the end of the class, you'll feel happy, relaxed, and very chilled out. It's a fantastic feeling!
